So, as this subject has been brought up in various CISV publications around the world and the fact that it would be really really cool if it was true, I kind of felt responsible for the whole thing and would like to take the opportunity to tell you all the whole truth!
In 2004, me and a friend decided to start a "rumour" in CISV, to see if it really catched on. And here we are, 2008 and people are really discussing it, which is amazing to see (and scary, too!) about how much we gossip in this organization!
But the truth is;
We did go to a village where Jack Johnson and Ben Harper made a surprise appearance for lullabies, marshmallows and bonfire in Canada. They both recieved camp t-shirts and Jack was wearing his during a concert back in the day when he was not too famous. (could probably be found on youtube, as everything else)
However, Mr Harper is a known CISVer from back in the day and Mr Johnson sent us all signed albums more than once, so they are BOTH kind of CISVers, but kind of not.
So for all of you wishing it was true, there you go, and all of you who didnt believe it, you were also kind of right, cause Jack Johnson never did a whole program, only lullabies and flagtime :)

woah! this is kind of fantastic!
as a strong believer of the myth of Jack Johnson and CISV, and being a big fan of this amazing music, I am glad to finally learn the truth and know that Jack had something to do with CISV after all... To all those who didn't believe the myth all these years...in your face :P
My goal as an NJR is still to get Jack Johnson in to CISV. Just as Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie ;)
